Moving to Dubai

Dear all,

I am on the verge of visiting an employer next weekend to meet my new potential employers in Dubai.

The salary which was put to me was 23kAED per month - there has been no mention on whether the employer would contribute to an accommodation just yet, I guess this will be thrashed out when I meet the team next weekend.

Assuming the hotel is not covered by the company, can you please let me know if the above salary is sufficient to live off in Dubai? I am single at 34...

In Dubai, you can. I mean you will get studio apartments within the range of 60000 to 80000/Yr. But not in Abu Dhabi. If you can negotiate with HRA, it will be well and good.
