Work Permit process in MRU

Post new topic

Hi All,

I intend to start a business in MRU and I am a citizen and definitely for at least 2 years there will be no profit and I might break even only. Now I need someone from India to work for me due to market expertise. And as per MRU law the expat should earn at least MUR45k. How can I pay that person so much if my business itself is not running too well.

Isn't there any law for someone earning 5k or 10k max?

Thanks for help?

Hello.

If the person is in the ICT sector the salary can be Rs 30k.

If the expertise is specific and not available in Mauritius they may consider but you need to build a case for that.

What type of business are you in?

Cheers,

Akshay

You should rather consider work permit instead of the BOI permits.
This is the scheme used by businesses to recruit skilled labour like textiles machinists, etc.
