Does anyone know whether the Tripoli zoo has reopened .... it has been under rennovation for ages!!!

It's open, although nothing special really. You get to see lions, elephants, birds, an alligator, a tiger you'll find them all but in filthy living conditions which I wasn't able to stand.

Really?  Well, then they sure do not want people to come because on my drive by today, the closed to renovations sign was still up.  Will give it a try anyways... it will give the kids something to do.

Well no one's expecting you to stay overnight. I mean there are hotels in town ;)

I also drove by on Saturday and it was still closed...

Thanks ... I guess we'll have to drive by & see if it is open!! I have been there a couple of times & it's not that bad ... just seeing people(visitors) giving the elephant coke & other unsuitable food was a bit irritating... anyway, it's a good outing for the children.
