I am planning to move to Sarasota. Anybody knows about cost of living in Sarasota?

Me and my husband stayed 3 months at Sarasota 2 years ago. You can rent a nice apartement with furniture around $ 1000/month.
Tha food was cheaper than the place we curently live.
