Travelling to Doha on Eid - Any suggestions!

Hi Willie, it's been 2 years since I've been to Doha (I lived there for 2 years), but here are some suggestions: you have to check out the Museum of Islamic Art, which is along the Corniche that you can also visit afterwards. Maybe you could also take in a dhow boat ride. Definitely stop by the souk; lots of cafes and interesting hangouts there as well. There are several malls around Doha: City Center in West Bay (business district of Doha), Villagio and Landmark, and also The Pearl. You can also spend the day at the Intercon Hotel or Sheraton if you want to use the facilities and the private beach, or rent a car and go to Sealine Beach Resort (couple of hours away from Doha) to go swimming or quad biking.

If you want to see the outskirts of Doha, you could drive up to Zikreet to see its very interesting landscape (calcite rock formations forming trippy shapes - you need a 4x4 to access this though), or see Umm Salal Maohamed Fort ( no need for a 4x4 for this one), or if you're pretty adventurous you can stay overnight at the Inland Sea (I recommend you find a tour group or guide though, it would be scary to get lost along the way) from which you can marvel at Saudi Arabia from a distance

For food, there won't be a lack of restaurants; personally I suggest the Asian restaurant Wok Mee at the Movenpick Hotel in West Bay - I'd go back to Doha in a heartbeat just to eat their nasi goreng again
