That means the 'Special ones' received their invitation cards wrapped in gold coated envelopes.  Why would you wanna go somewhere you aint needed?

Not sure if you understand this is a programme of music (old songs that was sung by of one of India's prolific singers). Hence i am not sure i understand your "need" angle . possibly you are not familiar with these kind of programs.

However, I did talk to a friend and got what I needed.
