Not all the town is like that, but it's particular... Choose Aix-en-Provence, it's a wonderful town!!! But as all big cities in France, there are always districts where you mustn't go the evening and night. But AEP it's a quite town 
Yes. Beisson and Jas-de-Bouffan. Chics are Pont-de-l'Arc, Val-Saint-André, universities areas. Also, between AEP and Marseille, nice villages as Bouc-Belair, Puyricard, Celony.
