How to Get a 7 seater SUV in Saudi?

Post new topic

Saad.akhun

Hi - I'm thinking of leasing a new 7 seater Mazda CX-9. Can someone please tell me what's all the fuss about family status and submitting the iqamas of your family? Currently I've family status (i.e. when I open moi.gov my status is Family) but I'm living alone over here. Does this mean I can't buy this car?
Also what proof do they need that I'm a family man considering that I'm living alone. I've no iqamas of my family to produce as an evidence.

*Added favor: Some questions apart from main topic: I guess ANB is the one of the best banks to go with, right? Do I need an account in ANB also to lease the car from them? Also if anyone of you thinks that CX-9 is not a good SUV, please recommend one with same price range.  :)

Thank you!

When I got my SUV back in 2011, I did have to go to Maroor and get ALJ an NoC from there on:

1- I don't have two cars in my name already.
2- The SUV is gonna a family car.

I don't know if that has changed.

When I went earlier to get a quotation for new Hyundai Tucson 2016, salesman told me that you need to pay extra SAR 1000/= to get me somekind of a paperwork as it's a family car.

I have an Aveo compact car. 5-6 months ago, I purchased used Honda CR V and it got transferred to my name with no fuss. The transfer agent did ask me if I have family status or not. (I do live with my family here) That's all. No iqamas needed. I believe they confirmed that from Government system. I still have both cars on my name.

By the way, I am confused. Why you don't have iqamas of your family with you if you have family status in government system? I hope you don't mean that you are entitled for family status but Residency permits (Iqamas) for them were never issued. If that's the case, you don't have family status.
