Dentists in Rincon Area

Post new topic

happyveg

Hi,

I have the blessing of challenging teeth :sosad: , and am looking ahead to our life in PR in another year.

Can some of you let me know how your experience has been with dentists in regards to:

Quality: Not just cleaning, but has anyone had crowns and implants successfully completed?

Cost: I won't have dental insurance, so am curious about cost.

Traditional vs. Alternative: Anyone find someone who performs alternative root canal therapies? (that is extremely rare and tough to find anywhere)

Thank you in advance,

Joan

Hi - I had a fantastic experience with a dentist in Rincon.  They're right in the downtown area on the street across from the hospital.  My son had spacers that needed to be removed and I was worried about the cost.  They were very reasonable and helpful!  My daughter had her teeth cleaned and checked there as well.  We did not have dental insurance.  For my son's cleaning and removal of spacers ($500 + in AZ) it was $80.  My daughter's cleaning was $75.  They also found us a great orthodontist in Mayaguez as well.

I don't know about major issues, but i can tell you they were so helpful with the removal of the spacers.  they weren't as concerned about the cost and my ability to pay as just fixing the problem.

The office is not fancy like what you would see in the states.  They usually take a long lunch.  The wait is about 30 minutes to an hour.  I believe the name was Rincon Dental.  Like I said, it is on the street where the library is and across from the hospital.  It's easy to find if you go downtown.  They also are connected to the dentist in Mayaguez and can help you with sending you to someone if you need more major work...I think.

Good luck :)

Thanks so much! I don't mind having basic stuff done right in town and then traveling a bit for the bigger procedures. During our two visits I would see medical/dental offices, but just want to get some good recommendations. Thanks again.

Great to know, since I just moved to Rincon a few months ago, am also "blessed"? With troublesome dental issues. I'm going to check them out and will let you know happyveg.

Good friends of mine are both dentist. She's doing root canals exclusively, he does "replacement stuff" like crowns, implants etc. They're really good but you pay for quality.
They're not in Rincon though, they're in Guayabo.
If you're interested send me a private message for their contact info.
