I got a offer of 8000MYR/month for Malaysia kulalumpur m planning to move with my wife. In india m getting 65k in hand per month salary I save around 20k per month with emi of home loan of 20k per month

Will I be able to save 50k inr per month from 8000 myr after doing all expenses in a month????

No way you can save 50K INR (almost RM4K) here with this salary. First 6 month you have to pay 25% in tax. so you will be get only RM6k. rent will be minimum RM1.5k to RM2k. so only after paying rent you will end up with RM4K and you know there are lot of other cost. i don't think you can even save 20k INR for first 6 month, after that may be no more then 30K INR, even you live with a very tight budget.

But your current salary RM8k is not a bad offer and future income potential will be higher then India, so i will be suggest you to come, but forget about saving 50k INR.

Thanks

Forget saving anything!

And in Malaysia when you start in a bad salary you stay on a bad salary usually. 8k for a married man is bad. Whether bad for you experience can't say as you say nothing about experience etc.

Hi.

My experience is around 5.5 years and in India I have a salary of 10 lakh CTC annually.

This really depends on your expenses, Like Khan mentioned, you need to consider all aspects. Where will your office be? KL sentral/KLCC areas?

- Tax -25%
- Accomodation - studio/1bedroom going around RM2-3k especially near train lines
- Transportation (possibly RM200 - 300 per month for 1 person if you're commuting to work everyday.
- Food/Groceries (RM5-10 per meal)
- Medical?

Even if you live on a very tight budget, it's not as easy to save as much for 2 person. But this really depends cause it's pretty hard especially for the first year.

Hi,

If you really wish to move to MY. Accept nothing less than 10K net per month; provided no school fee. This can be an okay to start with. I am not sure about your qualification, experience and ambitions.

8000 is fine.....but I would say before you come from India, dont pack any clothes, just pack money, lots and lots of money. I think you can carry 23kg of money in each bag, correct? That, together with your 8000 salary should last you until your next trip home, then you can bring back another load (23kg X 2). Now you can accept the 8000 with confidence!

Cvco so sarcastic not like me a paragon of virtue :D

8k ok for a single with lesd than 2 years experience not an experienced married man.

My min rule of thumb is 12k for a couple (no kids) and that means lowest of the low middle class living for someone who hardly ever drinks.

Currently Ringgit rate is down so 8000 RM is not worth. Atleast 10000 RM will work. good luck.
