Can one find employement prior to the move?

I was just wondering if one could be able to find a job before moving, or would you have to wait til in Scotland.

I don't like in Scotland yet, but I believe if you are from outside the EU, you have to have a company in the UK sponsor you to get a working visa. So you have to have the job before you move.
