Canadian Salmon Burgers
Click on the link above for more details of location.
Found this tiny place selling Canadian Salmon Burgers in a narrow lane of Phan Xich Long Street in District Phu Nhuan. Very hard to find but worth the effort when you get there.
The owner is a Viet Kieu who owns a salmon farm in Vancouver Canada which his son runs while he enjoys life here in Vietnam. Came across it by reference from a Canadian friend who saw the Canadian sign out front and have been enjoying their burgers ever since.
Besides the servings of salmon sushi, smoked salmon plate or the spicy raw salmon salad my favourite is the crumbed salmon patties on proper toasted burger buns. He even does a double salmon burger but its too big to get my mouth around so I stick with the original. The last time I went the burger was either 60,000vnd or 70,000vnd. My memory is hazy but it was good value. You can get it without the crumbs and freshly grilled fillet is nice too but I prefer the crunch of the crumbed fillet of salmon.
If you can't find the place just PM me as I get notifications on my phone and as I live in Phu Nhuan I can meet you at a landmark in the area, then show you where this hidden gem is located.
Warm regards, Dirty Pierre.

Nguyen MJ

Please pm me the actual address.  Thanks

DirtyPierre

If you had clicked on the link you could've written it down yourself.
47 Phan Xich Long which is a Hem which you need to walk down then turn right and walk up the Hem till you see their sign on the left.
Hem is what the Vietnamese call a small lane or alley.

Nguyen MJ

Thanks . I can find it.

Thanks for the tip, sounds great!

I'll definitely be going to try that place, just around the corner from me...

DirtyPierre

Dear Snake can you please take a photo of the laneway entrance on PXL then another inside the lane of the actual shop then post them on this thread so others can find the place a lot easier.

This is what a double Canadian Salmon Burger looks like close up.
It contains two fillets of imported Canadian Red Salmon fillets, lightly crumbed then deep fried to a golden brown with a crunchy crust and tender moist salmon inside. Far healthier than the usual crap that goes into normal beef patties.
Single Salmon Burger is 55,000 dong and the double Salmon Burger 80,000 dong. (those prices were at time of posting on my Facebook page back in July and may have increased since then.)
Very healthy lunch.

I have copied this directly from my Facebook page:
Enjoying lunch at my friend's micro restaurant specialising in Canadian Red Salmon Burgers.
Today I went overboard and ordered the double salmon pattie in a burger. It was great, but in truth all double burgers no matter what sort of pattie is used, are difficult to get your mouth around, so I will be sticking to the single salmon burger in future.
I will be coming back tonight for dinner to have the spicy salmon salad. Yum

OK, doesn't work, I took photos and uploaded them here but got the message only 1 picture was added (what a stupid ...)

anyway, the place is a bit hard to find. It is basically the second Hem after "Pizza Company", once in the Hem, take the first left and you'll see it

PS: DirtyPiere, I'll send you the pics and then you can upload.

cheers

The only number I have is 0936844609 but I think that's the owner's mobile phone and I know he is currently in Canada.

Hello DirtyPierre,

Thank you for sharing with members  :)

If you could also recommend the place in the business directory : Restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City so that more members who might not have read this thread can get access and have a taste of the Canadian Salmon Burger, it will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Bhavna

DirtyPierre

I would gladly do that but don't know how to, but will have a go at doing what you ask..

DirtyPierre

I have given it 3 attempts to do what you have asked and have given up as it is a total lost cause.
I have never seen a more difficult site to work with.
So as a moderator I would like to know how I am meant to do it because it is impossible to work.
you have all the information you need from my post so you do it then get back to me and explain it step by step because I had no luck.

stumpy

@DirtyPierre

Simply click on the link in the post from Bhavna which opens up the restaurant section. Then click on the add a restaurant button.

DirtyPierre

Stumpy my reply to you is the same as I just stated.
If it was that simple I wouldve done it alteady.
So If everyine thinks its easy to do then do it and report back to me how you were able to do it.
I await your results.
The new site is very user unfriendly.

Roberto99

Believe them you will believe anything !

Bhavna

Hello there DirtyPierre,

Just pm you..

Bhavna

I do believe

With the fall in the Canadian dollar I'm sure the price of the salmon burger will come down.
