Hello All

Just wondering if some advise could be provided.

I have been offered a Job which I have accepted.
I have one problem, I would love to take my Partner with me.

I do not know if he would be able to get a VISA to stay whilst I am over there working.

I know he would be able to apply for a 6 month Visa, via the Bahrain Embassy in London, as he's english.

Is there a possibility for him to extend this Visa and he could stay another 6 month?

Please any advise or guidance is much appreciated.

Thanks
Christian

Dear Yud

Hi Christian,

Welcome on the forum and probably soon in Bahrain.
I checked with my company's "experts" and as far as they know, your partner will be able to get a visa on arrival for one month that can be extended up to 3 months. After that he must leave the country for a few days and then come back to do the same.
Obviously for an European eye it looks curious ! To me it looks like we're "bending" the system to get a kind of permanent visa. But it seems that immigration is not too strict on that issue, their main problem not being Shengen citizens invasion :D
However, you have to keep in mind that it might change...
I also send you a private message.

Friendly yours

Olivier
