Hello. I live in Denver, Colorado. I plan on living in France part time when my last two children are settled in college.
I have visited France, mostly Paris, four separate times since 2010. This past September I was in France for the entire month.
Several months ahead of my last visit, I reached out to several Americans living in France and never got responses.
Is there something special I need to say or offer in order to get responses or can I not actively use this blog until I actually reside in France?
I have friends who are Parisian, and family I visit in Alsace-Lorraine, but I wanted to get information from an American perspective too.

Could someone please give me some guidance? Thank you very much.

Hi Debbie, not sure why no one replied to you -- very rude! Happy to help though. I don't live in Paris but have been in France for almost 4 years now. Lots of practical info on my blog like going to the doctor and getting a hair cut as well as French culture topics, so have a look and feel free to write me via my contact page. I'll definitely reply. ;-)

We are a retired couple from USA.  We plan to come to France the beginning of Feb. 2016, to initially find a furnished apartment for about Three months, visit the Prefecture and the OFII to get the medical o.k.  Our location will be MARMANDE, an hour away from Bordeaux.  My question is: On the OFII form we will fill out at th Consulate, to indicate where we will be staying --- can this address be changed AFTER arrival in France, the reason for that is that we do not know anyone to inspect and fix an apartment for us, we will have to be present to find the apartment.  Your help will be most appreciated.  We are here in Virginia, some 200 miles away from Washington D.C.  Thanks.   RKC
