Hello people, not sure if this is the right place to put this. I am wondering if anyone would know the price of malarone malaria tablets in lusaka,  they are expensive here in the the UK and thought maybe they were cheaper there

I would suggest that you do not take any ' preventative' tablets.  They have long term effects over a period of time.
Better to use a repellent spray or cream, wear long sleeve shirts and trousers late afternoon onwards.

A good simple homemade spray works.
15 drops lavender oil, 4 tablespoons vanilla extract, one quarter of a cup of lemon juice.
Mix in a 16 oz spray bottle and top up with water. Shake before using.

In my travels I have taken a lot of different anti malarial tablets to the detriment of my health.

Thanks for that, I would go with that for myself and partner. My concern is my children aged 5 and 3 it only takes one bite maybe after a shower getting ready for bed. Maybe im just being paranoid

I suggest that you do an online search for tablets suitable for children. Either way long term usage is not good.
Perhaps my mixture applied after shower for the kids would suffice ??

Sprays or creams with Deet in them are good too.

Just remember that the Anopheles mosquito which carries malaria has to be a pregnant female that bites you.....
