Hi all,

I'm Jaime and I'm living in Barcelona Spain with my husband Jan. We've spent 6 months here total so far and we like it. We moved for Jans work and we both work together in the same small IT company.

My goal is to travel while in Europe, we plan to stay atleast until December when our lease runs out.

I'm really interested in all your stories here and I thought I'd better send my introduction post before I write something on everyone elses entries!!.

I spent a few months working for an IT company too in 2000 and I really enjoyed Barcelona. What a great city! In which part of the city are you living?

Hello Jaime,
I'm french and I will move to Barcelona in May.
I hope to find a job there. Did you have a job before moving to Barcelona or did you find it once there ?
I'm also looking for a flat and I already have a few contacts.
I already lived a year in Sevilla and I think Spain is a really great place to live...

Hi guys,

I had a job before I came but I've swapped jobs to work with my husband since.

I found both our flats very quickly, the first I found on http://www.loquo.com/ the next we got from loquo but through an agent and had to pay a fee.

We live in Sant Antoni (well closer to Raval) so very close in, usually we can walk home after a big night out.

Hi Jaime!

Is it already warm and sunny in Barcelone? I miss the blue sky from BCN
(we had some snow today here in London!)

Yes! it's sunny here and blue sky with a few clouds, it's cold enough to still wear jumpers but hopefully we'll have an early and long summer! . I generally feel happier and I like being here more in the warmer weather.
