Hello, there is the DQ grill&chill restaurant in Tahliya street next to localizer mall, they have seating outside for families only,  Also there is one in Petal Hotel very near to Alfaisaliya Tower, they have a restaurant with open seating area also for families only.  And there is the one in Olaya street intersection with Tahiliya street, Mall is called Centeria, i believe they have a restaurant with outside seating, though i never went to that one and i don't know if it's for families or not, but the seating area can be seen from outside. There is a lovely cafe called Al-Masa Cafe on the corner of Olaya Avenue (very small mall). They have both a family and single outdoor section. A little bit on the pricier side but I think its worth it because one thing I miss from the UK is having a coffee al fresco style.

There food is also very nice, they do lovely salads!

They also don't ask you to leave during salah time but they do lock the doors if you dont get there before.
