name difference in Birth certificate for Dependant visa

Post new topic

Hi Team,
Am planning to apply for Dependent visa for my wife. I know that the birth certificate has to be legalized. Her name in BC is wrong. But she has corrected it in gazette(by publishing advertisement) and has proof of the name changed to correct name. Is this enough. Or should something else be done.

Please get the birth certificate and also the proof of name change legalized, That must be ok. For official answer you may write to VFS or speak to them.

Dear Team,
Thanks for you kind reply.  In your reply you have given a statement that "get you BC". Does this mean getting a new BC. Generally new BCs are not issued incase of name change. Only change is done in gazette. Will this document be enough for proceeding with VISA application.

Hello,

Aneeshks's answer is clear yet. You must be able to prove that the correction of the name was authorized and legalized by the services of the state of the individual.

If this was not done, the Belgian administrative services will reject the file.
