Please re-read the article linked to... it is NOT optional until 15 and those who do not have their children fingerprinted can lose family benefits.   (MUST: Modal verb expressing obligation)

Thanks dear but i am in Al Ahsa i anybody knows where can we get the finger print enrollment ?

mozaffar421

Go to your nearest Passport office in Al Ahsa, all passport offices are equipped to do this kind of job-- make sure that you should have a photocopy of the first page of passport and iqama on the same page next to each other. In addition to this  you need to carry ORIGINAL PASSPORT AND IQAMA of the kid(s).
Good Luck, Feel free to ask if you have any further questions or concerns.

No Mr. Yahiam Ali. I went to jawazat offife with my kids and they enrolled my kids finger prints who are over 6 years.
The rule is applicable from 19-Jan-2016 so expats who r not enrolled and apply exit / entry visa or renewal of their Iqama will not be able to get the visa or Iqama till they enroll their finger prints check the news above its true and I am the witness.

Better to check jawazat office they will guide u.

mozaffar421

beside jawaazaat office, they have extended this service to various Mall, shopping plazas and other prominent places in the city, so check and or google it. In Riyadh where we are, having multiple locations and of course, govt passport office(s) is/are among them. Good luck

This rule has come into effect.  Soon, it would be mandatory to have fingerprints registered to get any legal procedures done, i.e. Applying for exit-re-entry visa, iqama renewal, etc.   All I can say is Don't postpone getting this for your kids.  This would be the last place on Earth where you want to be caught off-guard at your rush hour.
