Authentic North Korean restaurants

Post new topic

From my understanding there were 3 authentic NK restaurants in Phnom Penh.
Seems like all of them are closed .. anyone know why?
Any chances of re opening?

Fred

I have no clue, but your post sparked interest. Have a read.

Silly politics are abound when it comes to news pieces about NK, but read past the political rubbish to get an idea of what's happening.

Hi Fred

I hope the restaurants closure have nothing to do with politics.
The North Koren staff are very hardworking and multi talented

Politics naff pretty much everything up, so it wouldn't surprise me for a moment if some fool politician has stuck his oar in and forced the places to close down.

The reports, photos and videos your OP sparked my interest in suggests these are well run places with top quality food and very hard working staff.

It would be a great pity if they've closed down permanently.

I speak personally as a fatty with a great love of food exploration.
