Can anyone direct me to, or recommend, an inpatient rehab facility around Quito or Ibarra for a problem with alcoholism? Any idea how much a month stay/program would cost here?

www.treatment-centers.net has contact information for the Savitch Recovery Center in Salinas.

Thank you, but there surely must be one in or near Quito. It feels urgent.

You can see some treatment centers here, the first one is in Quito:

You can also do a search for 'ecuador alcoholismo tratamiento' and get quite a few hits.  This article may be of interest, it mentions a treatment facility at Hospital Gonzalo González in Quito.

There is a low-cost government-supported clinic for such rehabbing in Quito named the Guamani Center.  According to FAIM -- the Foundation for Alternative and Integrative Therapy -- the Guamani Center has been rated the best public health-care facility in Ecuador for ten straight years.

As a government-supported center in a low-rent area of Quito, expect low rates and a much less sofisticado ambience compared to the Savitch center at the beach.  At Guamani, a taita meaning "father" or "healer" is typically in charge.

It's likely you may need a cédula -- the national ID card -- and/or IESS government health-care coverage to qualify for admission.  That could mean months of delays.  Or course, other than higher-priced private care, delays are likely at any of the dozen or so rehab facilities in La República.

Here are some more ideas for relevant recommendations and referrals....

1.  Ask for a referral from the Hospital Metropolitano de Ecuador in Quito, widely considered the best hospital in Ecuador.

2.  The AA website for Ecuador is www.aae.org.ec

Thank you! She is a citizen and has cedula. Cost is not a main consideration, assuming it would be considerably less than in the US.
