Hi, am looking to travel to VN next month and if i can find a job i would like to stay there for a while but am not sure about access to the Thyroxine medication i need, will be brining 3-6 months supply with me but obviously if like it there and decide to relocate/stay longer then i need to make sure i can get my meds long term.

I saw an old post on this site that it is quite easy to get over there, is this still the case and does anyone know the best place to get it from and approximately how much it costs?

cheers :)

I don't know exactly the place, but general trick to find medicine in Vietnam:
Put "Viên" in your google search (which means "tablet")

.
eg. I Googled now "Viên Thyroxine" and find some addresses to check ..

Hi, I'm using Levothyroxine too. I always buy it at the Ung Buou Hospital (Add: 03 No Trang Long st., Ward 7, Binh Thanh dist, HCMC).
There also have a lot of pharmacy stores near the hospital so you can get it easily.
Price: around 86,000VND/90 tablets.

Hope it helps. Cheers!

It is easy to find in VN at big pharmacies hi HCMC, but in different name. My Mom are also taking it everyday. Dun worry.
I was a ER nurse before, so happy to help you in HCMC .
