Getting US Visa in Jeddah

Post new topic

Shii

Am a Kenyan working in Jeddah and plan to visit my brother in Boston this October. He will send me an invitation and I plan to be there for 10 days. My question is;

1. Can I get a visa from here without having to go back to Kenya? It'll be more convenient for me this way

2. What documents are most necessary to have?

I hear that one must produce bank statements indicating that they're financially Ok and don't intend to overstay their visit. Problem is I don't have decent bank statements in Kenya ( I send my money to my sister to invest for me in real estate and nothing goes through my account)

Someone kindly advise me,

Thanks

Yes, you can get a visa from here, as long as your residency status is valid. However, you still need to prove strong ties to return back here or your home country. Having investment back home, I believe is a tie.
You need a bank statement, even though the visa officer might not look at the document.
What is your travel history, been to any other country? Where do you work (Govt. Preferably)? Salary? Marital Status? (don't answer here)Fill out your DS160 form truthfully. As that and being confident during your  interview gives you a chance. Because having a brother in the US might seem like you want to immigrate.

Hi Hazeleye, how are you and yours? Just saying hello. Thank you for your help when I had questions about moving to Saudi. I'm all settled in now, thank God. Thank you again, have a good weekend.
