All the Way from India to Dubai to Saudi Arabia

Post new topic

anitabejoy

Hi all,

I am Anita, Was in Dubai a couple of months back and now I’ve landed in KSA, moving to Saudi Arabia wasn’t easy for the 2 of us. It was a sudden decision which we believed would simply be for the best. Everyone was against our decision, for the very fact that KSA is a conservative place. Well, I’m just glad we moved to KSA. It’s a beautiful place.
Life was quiet hectic in Dubai, we used to spend hours in the traffic, hardly had time for ourselves and that’s what we don’t have to face in Saudi. The life style here is quiet different. My blog is all about the various info on KSA. Would be happy to help with questions u might have on relocating to KSA.

Cheers & Live Life to the Fullest!!

Julien

Welcome on board anitabejoy!

Did you move to KSA for professional of personal reasons?

Would you add a few pictures in the Kingdom Saudi Arabia pictures section?

I wish you a very good day,

Julien

We moved for professional reasons, my husband was approached with a better offer from the same company he used to work in Dubai. I decided to resign my job, am into freelancing these days. The two of us have decided to stick to Saudi for the next couple of years - We are expecting our first bundle of joy in few months time!!!

I’ve added the snaps :)

Thanks for the pictures they are great!

In which domain are you freelancing? (I know, I am very curious ...)

I have to attend a meeting in Riyadh, so will be there for 3 days. I am not sure what all things i can carry like, i heard camera, camera phones, any food items etc.. are not allowed in this country from outside. I am coming from India and wanted to carry some ready to eat items. Your comments will be helpful.
Please suggest about things to buy as well. Electronics item will be cheaper?

Thanks,
Manav

I have been travelling in and out of Saudi Arabia and I have never had a problem carrying any of the items you’ve mentioned. Yes, there was this incident once at the airport, I landed with a Christmas tree and the officers said NO….but a couple of “pleases” and they smiled and agreed to take the xmas tree along with me :)

Electronic items are generally considered cheaper here than India.
