Tailor needed - Shirt specialist

Post new topic

Lynnyc3

Hi everyone

I need some help to source a tailor who either specialises in shirts or is at least well known for their quality shirts. I hope to produce around 50 shirts. I have the pattern and fabric sourced and designed already. Although the pattern will need to be graded into different sizes. Speed of production is not my priority. My priority really is the quality. Any recommendations / suggestions please send my way.

Thanks
Lynny :)

I recommend you Go Ogle.

TripAdvisor will give you not only the best (objective) reviews, but also where they are.   Even a skeptic like moi was surprised at the quality at half the shelf-price of the larger stores.

Thanks Bazza. Yeah I've googled and have a few from trip advisor I will be visiting.

Just trying all avenues - there maybe a secret local tailor that residents use which I won't find online.

I don't have personal experience with him.

Dung tailor (yeah I know). Not far from Ben Thanh market. His tailoring is of very high quality but he isn't a cheap option (still cheap compared with a London tailor though). You can use google to get his contacts.

He is quite famous in Vietnam and some other countries so is always very busy. Don't expect a quick turnaround.

I had some cotton bush trousers and shirts made by him before going to a remote area of the Solomons, where it was often necessary to change clothes at least twice a day due to the heat and humidity and where the laundry was done by ladies with bars of rough soap and large scrubbing brushes.

What amazed me was that after nine months of being scrubbed at least 3 times a week, each shirt still had its full quota of buttons, even though the material was beginning to get a bit thin.
