I don't have a multi exit re entry visa so I haven't been anywhere bar Scotland since I came here. Djerba is a 4 hour drive from here and supposedly very nice, but if you want a complete culture change head for St Julien in Malta, something like £150 return (I stand to be corrected on the price) less than an hours flight time as well. Welcome on board my fellow Scot (even though you hammered us 5-1 last season )

Both Malta and Djerba are wonderful, I prefer Malta at least no one would think of over-charging u. and also, u do not want to be stuck in the boarders for do not know how long (may take to 2 or 3 hours) u will end up spending 7 hours behind the wheel.

have a nice trip,

For Malta you can leave Thursday afternoon, sup 2 G&Ts during the 45 min flight and be in a bar in St Julian for Happy Hour. Fly back Saturday afternoon and be in the office Sunday morning. Business class ticket doesn't cost much more, gives a larger baggage allowance (essential for bringing back food items) and means you can relax in the lounge at Malta, ensuring you arrive at Tripoli, suitably lubricated. Recommended :)

Mine would just BORE them to death, you here over the festive period or heading home mate ?. I am off on the 22nd weather and planned BA strikes permitting. I was here last Christmas and new year (prior to the wife coming out) and if you have mates here it is OK.
