2 bedroom villa compounds.. there are quite a few small compounds in Khobar where they give two bedroom furnished villas. The best way to find a villa in a compound would be contact some person in your company who is already staying in something like that.

Compounds can be comparatively more expensive, but then it does make life a bit more interesting especially for the families, since there will be activities that they can participate in.
