Hello everyone,

Moving to South Sudan means leaving one's family and friends behind. Creating a circle of friends or joining an existing one should therefore be paramount in order to fight loneliness in your host country.

But how can one develop a social network in South Sudan? Where and how to meet people there?

How easy is it to meet locals? What about cultural specificities?

Share your advice and experience!

Many thanks in advance,

Priscilla

You can start going to various coordination meetings where you can meet new people. This is very important both for your work and to socialize. Security is not encouraging  evening outing. However there are places likevTulipin the nest and Juba bridge hotel where you can go, meet new people and socialize. Complying to your organization's curfew hours is a challenge here. Going to religious laces like church's can also help to keep you spiritually nourished and also make friends. All the best and take here
