Hi Friends,

I am currently on an EP that is valid till next year. Another company has come out with an offer to join them in two months (which is actually my notice period with my current employer).

I have not had a chance to get briefed by my prospective employer on the EP process.

Meanwhile I wanted to check with you guys on how the EP process for switching jobs work in Malaysia provided that my current employer is willing to provide a so-called NOC (a term that I don't understand).

Should I have to exit Malaysia and come back or can stay as the EP conversion (or the process by the new employer) is underway?

Thanks,
Anwar

You can either exit Malaysia or you can stay here while your new EP is under process provided you dont cancel your existing EP. Your company should apply first and than immigration will instruct when to cancel your existing EP.
