The Olympic Games are now just a few days away and we would like to talk about sports.

What sports are the most popular and/or unusual in Dominican Republic?

Are sports facilities easily accessible there? Where and how can one find sports clubs in the region?

Are there sports events regularly held in the country?

And you? What is your favourite sport? Which one(s) do you practice in Dominican Republic?

Number one sport in the DR.... Baseball
Number two sport in the DR.....Baseball
Number three sport in the DR.... Baseball
Number four through ten... Baseball
Soccer would then be number 11

Hahaha Bob you are so right.

Also basketball, volleyball some American style football. There is also boxing and some martial arts.

Dominos here is considered almost a sport.....Hahahaha.

There are many baseball fields! Lots of basketball hoops in neighborhoods etc. Sports is not part of public school curriculum.

My sport is probably the most popular for us old retired guys here. Going to the beach and watching the young babes in their bikinis.
