English speaking companies/Jobs in Barcelona

I've gotten many messages similar to yours, mainly asking how Americans or English people can get jobs in Spain with American/English companies.

The sad truth is that those American/English companies hire Spaniards almost exclusively so they won't have to deal with work visas or other fumbly paperwork when hiring people outside of the country. Yours would be somewhat of a different situation as you are legally able to work in Spain - with a little bit of paperwork completed. But still, all the bosses and your coworkers would be Spanish at those American/English companies in Spain. And if you don't speak Spanish then, well, .... it won't go over well.

But you're exactly right about the salaries here. They're brutally low. And now, what with the economic crisis in the world and in Spain too, there are hiring freezes, firings, layoffs, closings, and cutbacks, companies in Spain are not exactly doing much hiring.
