Rabies vaccination for kids

Hey all,

my family and I moving to Shenzhen (Shekou) in the beginning of April. Our travel doctor recommends the rabies vaccination for our 2yr old son. We are hesitating, but are worried for him to get rabies also.
Do you have any experienced with kids that age and rabies in the Shenzhen area?

You kid can inject rabies vaccination at Shenzhen maternal and child care service centre. Below is website, but Chinese.
