Departure via Riyadh on Umrah visa

Hello everyone,

Last month, I won a free ticket to for Jeddah and I have deceided to use it for Umrah. Following is the itenarary:

25th Nov Dubai > Jeddah
3rd Dec Jeddah > Riyadh > Dubai

The ticket has some crazy terms and it can't be amended or cancelled.

One of my friends told me that I will not be allowed to travel on my return flight since it stops in Riyadh and I will be entering through Jeddah.

My connection is just for 2.5 hours in Riyadh and I won't be getting out of the airport.

Could someone confirm if this is the case?

I don't see a problem here. It is very common for Umrah visitors to have connecting flights; especially flights to Medinah via Riyadh is very common.
