Living in Shah Alam

GuestPoster4206

Hi people,

I would like to move to Malaysia. Though I want to have an apartment closer to KL, I also like suburb areas. That's why I am thinking about living in Shah Alam. I also saw a residential area called Setia Alam in Shah Alam, which I like the most. Is Setia Alam good place to live (for expat)?

And also suggest me few other places if you have in mind. :)

I am checking classified ads for apartments in both mudah.my and propsocial.my. Are those reliable sites to deal with?
Please advise.

I appreciate your help. :)

Have a search on this forum. This topic came up a short time ago and that thread will probably answer a lot of your questions

Shah Alam and Setia alam are quite far from KL. Although there are international schools in Setia alam there isn't a big expat community, a mere handful in Setia Eco park. Most prefer to live in Sri Hartamas, Mont Kiara, Damansara , Bangsar and Ampang. Setia Alam is a nice place put becoming very jammed

There are quite lot of expats working at the big hospital there, mostly Indonesians.
