Kasoo

As I was sitting at the airport this morning at 5am, waiting for the guy that was sleeping on the couch in his room to wake up and notice the 20+ people waiting to have their passports checked, I noticed something again that had been bugging me for a while.

WHY ARE ALL THE CLOCKS IN TRIPOLI AIRPORT STOPPED AT 12:55?

I can guess that this symbolises when something significant happened in the past - and that to remind all Libyans the clocks remain that way. But is it a secret? Or can one of the (majority) local forum followers shed any light on this mystery?

Sukran!

I have never seen a clock that displays the correct time - anywhere!

It's because of a labour law that entitles workers to have a cigarette break and a chat with their buddies at 5 mins to the hour.:rolleyes:
