Any information/assistance appreciated

I signed a contract to teach science in a school in Jeddah during June this year. The HR person passed the work visa acquisition to an agent in London. The agent started the process in July as the school was to be starting from 18 of September. By this date, I was still in London waiting for the visa. The agent in London told me that he could get the visa unless my certificates are attested by the Saudi Cultural Bureau. As September came to an end, I made several visits to the Saudi cultural Bureau personally. Eventually, they attested my certificates.
The agent told me  there were no obstacles as there was a clearance from the Saudi Cultural Bureau. After two weeks passed I phoned the agent. He said he was waiting for a document from the school and the HR person from the school  is not replying. I sent several emails myself to the HR person, but she is not replying. I tried to phone the school from the website number, but the line does not connect. Three months have lapsed, I am still waiting for the work visa. I am running into a financial difficulty as I have no source of income because I signed the contract and committed myself legally. My passport and certificates are still with the agent.
