Apartment rent prices going down (Dec 2016)

Heard rent prices are falling in Saudi. Some people i know in Jeddah got their rent reduced by %20.

Heard its official; a decision made by the government.

Anyone with info on this?

In absence of governance over common residential sector on part of the government, no such advice is likely to come from them (unlike some other countries).

However, economy factors can push landowners to lower down the rates because of decreased demand of their expensive properties.

Havent heard of any advice such as that...

But i guess its true... the building owners have stopped raising the rent cost, they usually raise the price every 2 years but my landlord said there would be no additional payments this year.
