If you plan to live in a CTC (cheap tropical country) to be able to eat a tropical fruitarian diet cheaply, can you...

  1. Create some passive income from the US by advertisement on a blog/website or selling e-books and have the USD sent to or transferred to your bank account in CTC?
  2. Do Freelance online jobs like programming, web designing, or translating and have the check in American money sent to your CTC bank account?
What are the CTCs where you can buy your own land without investing in starting a business? I think Ecuador is one, correct? How much money would it take to buy a few acres of land, like 2 or 3 acres, and then various tropical fruits on there?

Should I worry about thieves that might steal my fruits?

Hi there,
you posted some interesting questions here..Im a fruit lover too, but I guess not as much as you do..
not sure about Ecuador, but here in Malaysia, if you married a local (well, must be Muslim lady, and you MUST convert to Islam) and to get a piece of land to farm is like a piece of cake. the Malaysian govt gives subsidy to farmers, which include, land, fertiliser and seed...hehehe, so you might wan to consider to look for a Muslim wife in Malaysia ^^
