How to I obtain the guarantor insurance?

Post new topic

I'm preparing my visa application forms and I know a personal guarantor is no longer required because there is the new insurance in place, but how do I go about getting info on setting that up or paying for it? Thanks in advance!

Hello Kat:

Just to clarify, a guarantor is still required for the visa process with the consulate.  The expatriation insurance has replaced the guarantor only in the residency process with the  Immigration Department here in the DR.

Once you are ready to proceed with residency there are multiple providers authorized by the State to sell this type of policy, you can find a list on the Immigration website.
