Hello - I've just joined the blog directory.
I'm scottish but live in the South of France [Antibes] with my husband and 2 kids.

I've had a long career break due to moving country, learning french and looking after my kids and being seriously ill for a couple of years but now i am trying to get back into freelance illustration again - particularly the children's market

Welcome Alison on the expat forum :)

Don't forget to add your blog's address in profile > personal, this way we'll see your blog's address in all your posts

I wish you a lot of success with your projects!

Something I'd like to ask you, how does France looks like when you're coming from another country?

Would you share your feelings about France and its people here: https://www.expat.com/forum/viewforum.php?id=56 ?

Another question: which are the most famous clichés about France and its people? We've got few participations here: https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=37

All the best,

Julien

ps: have you ever tested the "bouillabaisse"? Can you have some in Antibes? (I know Antibes in not Marseille but it's not that far is it?) ... Ok I'm hungry now, let's have a look to the fridge :p

selkie

you can get bouillabaisse in Antibes and we have been to Marseille and had some there.  My kids and husband love it
I'm hungry too now =)

I saw a tv program at lunch time on which they spoke about the bouillabaisse marseillaise ... It reminded me that I didn't have some for years!
