Notary in PR

Post new topic

Hey everyone I need to finalize my Act 22 and in order to do so I need to get the application notarized. Anyone know of a place near Dorado I can get that done for a reasonable amount? In the states we're talking free to $5 or $10. I'm bracing myself to hear the amount here....

Thanks!

Notary duties belong to the attorneys here.  Mine charged me $20 for a simple stamped contract.

$20 isn't bad. Anyone have any attorney's they could recommend? Where is yours located westernprguy?

Yup in PR only a lawyer can be a notary. I also heard a notary can now marry people or the law is in the works.

Sorry, but I'm in the west & my attorney is in Moca.  But I'd just drive around & look for signs.  There are many in every town.

Sorry, don't know anyone in your area, we do most of our stuff in Sabana Grande area. $20 - $30 sounds reasonable in my area, not sure in the Dorado area.

Not sure if this helps Chris, but commissioned officers of the US Armed forces can notarize documents.  We've gotten documents notarized in PR by other officers.  You may want to ask around the neighborhood if there are any active duty officers nearby.  Dorado is fairly close to the USCG Base and Fort B.
