Do you speak Icelandic?

Post new topic

Hi everyone,

It is widely agreed that mastering the Icelandic language is essential for a successful integration in Iceland. Do you agree? Share your experience!

Do you speak Icelandic? If so, where did you learn this language? Where can one attend a language course in Iceland?

If not, how do you cope with daily activities? Is it easy to communicate in a different language with Icelanders?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

dear,
they all can speak english very well
icelandic itself is not the criteria for
a successful intergration.....  it just
depends on whether you are enough
lucky with your own life .... generally
they are all very helpful... icelandic
you may learn at public schools but
for that you ought to talk to the social
houses,they are like meeting points
for people living around these places
the climate is just terrible , in one hour
you may experiences 4 different seasons
one is always eager to feel the new-goodluck
