Hi everyone,

It is widely agreed that speaking Saint Kitts Creole is essential for a successful integration in Saint Kitts and Nevis. Do you agree? Share your experience!

Do you speak Saint Kitts Creole? If so, where did you learn this language? Where can one attend a language course in Saint Kitts and Nevis?

If not, how do you cope with daily activities? Is it easy to communicate in a different language with Kittitians?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Define "successful integration".  The British derived education system, typical to most of their former Caribbean colonies, turns out extremely literate, citizens who would probably be offended at the suggestion that they can not speak English. Yes, there is another "slang, patois" language that is used in St. Kitts, and other islands too, but I have yet, over 12 years, ever encountered anyone who could not speak English well - if they wanted to.
