We are moving to the Boquete area next year and would like to know if there are any good modern furniture shops nearby. We want to buy a new modern but comfy settee.

We live in David, so if you need help maybe we can point you in the right direction. There are always gringos leaving Boquete and Chiriqui who need to sell stuff, so keep an eye out on line too. There are groups on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/groups/398462776983138/ Also, a yahoo group Gringos in David. and http://www.chiriqui.life/

Welcome to Panama!

IMHO, finding furniture here is " hit or miss".

Since you are asking for a very specific item, you may find yourself waiting until you find what you want. That is how I am slowly getting the right pieces for my home.

Having said that, I think you can tell I am not making a sales pitch!

However, my husband now that he has the time and the space, is very creative and has made some amazing wood furniture and because it is a passion, would be interested in making a custom piece of furniture to anyone's requirements.

Photos available upon request - our house is contemporary by the way - not always the typical Panamanian style.
