Apply for a job in Doha, from Europe

Post new topic

Hi All,

It has been some time now that I consider having an international experience and am taking this seriously now.

I want to know what is the best way to apply for a job in Doha and the UAE, while I am currently located in Europe. I am working for a Big4 company and have some years of 7+ years of experience in Consultancy.

Thanks for your help!

if you are in big 4 you can ask reallocation, you dont have to leave your job,

however,
if you are European, i think you will easly find job in Qatar and middle east, specially with delloite and PwC  , they have alot of ads on linkedin.
you can try michael page also.
best luck

Thanks for your reply!

This is something I am also considering... But I want to consider all options :-).
One should not put his eggs in the same basket ;-)

sure,
try dubai portal and abu dhabi portal , qatar doesnt have portal, you should follow companies and ministries,
depends on your field or sector follow the companies ,,
those countries are fascinated with foreign experiences

What do you mean by portal?

I applied to a few posts locally and then to some posts I saw on LinkedIn in UAE. I got 3 concrete offers within 2 months here but no reply at all from any of the applied positions.
So I was wondering if distance makes it more difficult and what would be the best approach.

dubai or abu dhabi protal work with government direct ,, sometimes you get better offers,,
you have to consider living costs also

Superman man

Its not about the distance. These days there is crisis in entire gulf countries due to low oil prices. Gov has cut down expneses drastically which affected many companies. Regarding the portal, u can apply for Dubai gov jobs via a job portal which is not the case in Qatar. I would recommend you to search jobs online an keep on trying. I heard that job market will be normal within 2 or 3 months. Good luck in ur job search.
