procedure to sell car and transfer ownership BEFORE final EXIT

Hello,

I am in Jeddah. What is the procedure to sell my car before going on Final Exit?

I own the vehicle and have a valid instimara and i have valid insurance. I have read some articles on expat.com and online but they are not clear.

Car dealers can guide you and also there are small offices who handle car ownership transfer but first you have to find a 'buyer'.

Find a buyer for agreed price, and then you both will have to go to a auto registration office - these are commonly found near to used car / car dealer and they will do the rest. Be sure to collect all documents as proof.

Thank you both for your quick reply!

I contacted the dealer - as you suggested - where I bought the car. They said that they do not buy used car themselves. I asked if there is an office who can arrange/manage the sale and ownership transfer. They said there are many offices near 'al haraj' on Kilo 10.

They also said that I have to get the car examined in Al Nuzha (SR 75) first.

1>> Do you know where exactly the car has to be tested for SR 75?

2>> Are there any (auto registration) offices that arrange the car sale in North Jeddah - near Sair, Quraish or Hera streets?
