Thanks Bob. Which do you have your policy with? Is it Humano or something else?

Robbie123

Sorry Bob I just noticed from a previous post that you are with Universal. Do you have a website for them?

There are a number of health insurance companies in the Dominican Republic. Here a the top three providers in order of clients (highest first)

Humano (https://humano.com.do/)
Universal (https://www.arsuniversal.com.do/SitePages/Inicio.aspx)
Palic Salud (http://arspalicsalud.com.do/)
among others

All of these provide health insurance options that work overseas including Canada. These international insurances can be expensive depending on the deductible chosen.

I will send you a PM
We go through the "intenational club" for a group discount

You can also contact Kulig insurance company behind the orange store in Sosua. He handles all the plans at very reasonable prices

And the Universal policy, same as my group package with Humano DO NOT COVER YOU OUT OF COUNTRY. Do not confuse the two types of coverage!
