BRISBANE: Where to Live? whats the "BEST PLACE" to Live?

Wynnum QLD 4178. OR ?  Somewhere I've not yet thought of living? 

To be no more than a 1 hour Commute from Brisbane, CBD.   We've also got friends living on the Sunshine Coast we'd like to meet up together regularly!   No kids or pets in residence.  However, overnight visitors will be welcomed.   Therefore; apartment living preferably with a water view; will be a serious consideration for we'd like a Turn-Key lifestyle!   We also welcome getting involved in the Community Events including offering our time to Volunteering! 

We left Australia in 2001.  Now considering a Sea-Change back home permanently. 
Hubby is Looking towards working I within the Brisbane CBD; whilst I'll be launching my own Domestic Cleaning Business within the area and surrounding area of where ever it is we end up living?  So I need to live near but not necessarily living in that same area - where I can Target my Ideal Market: a Affluent area with possibly Double Income Households with disposable income to afford to utilize a Cleaning Service; as I'll also be offering a extended variety of Household Cleaning Services too!   Therefore; I'll be in search of suitable Cleaning Staff too!  Hubby would prefer to use Public Transport to and from his place of employment in Brizzy! 

Requiring more updated info as Trip Adviser posts are out of date of 2009.  So any suggestions and recommendations appreciated; I'd even welcome places I've maybe not yet thought of yet?   
We like to live in a Vibrant / Buzzing Waterside area that prides itself of having a Community Spirit and prefer to be near a large body of water to enjoy watching as a spectator; passing boats and water activities.  We'd welcome being surrounded by Warm and Welcoming / Friendly locals with Pubs, Cafes and waterfront Coffee Shops etc to socialize in.   Be within easy access of major Shops; Restaurants & Entertainment  etc. 
but most of all; Affordable Living and a comfortable lifestyle as we head into our future Senior years.  Currently middle aged but Young at heart Active: 53 & 56 years old.  Love Walking, Tennis & meeting people.   We also enjoy People and Boat Watching along with travel & photography.  Enjoy group activities!
We currently still live overseas; But we've begun our plan to return back to OZ before Jan 2020 at the latest. 
As this location is to become our "Forever-Home"!    I welcome your replies; So Thank You All In Advance!  Very much appreciate all your responses!
