Nairobi is the city where most expats in kenya live.Talk of Its suburbs such as Lavington, Kileleshwa, Kilimani, Rosslyn and the like.

A simple beautiful 3 bedroom apartment will range between kes 130,000-180,000 per month depending on whether it is furnished or not.In many cases this is inclusive of the service charge but excludes the cost of water and electricity.

Is this a reasonable rate?

You can certainly rent for less than Ksh 130,000 per month.  There are some 3 bed apartments on for around Ksh 100,000.

Of course furnished are considerably more that unfurnished.
