Which are your best tips to meet people and to make friends in the United Arab Emirates??

I am in the process of relocating to Dubai and I know I am going to get lonely without my friends and family in the usa, I am hoping to find friends throughout this great website.

I guess what I am planning on doing in the process to avoid this feeling is to have a roomate and join group activities.

Sometimes loneliness is a blessing because it lets you reflect on your life and life experiences

Inretropect, it is neither good nor bad, it is the emotion you have at the moment that determines the outcome feelings.
